    EXAPLAY 3 is built for the most demanding multi-channel applications, but designed to be light-weight and run on servers that do not carry the traditional price-tag

    All new to EXAPLAY 3 is:

    • Master/client roles, auto-discovery on the LAN
    • Frame-accurate playback sync with measured latency compensation per client
    • One-click file push of project + media to all clients
    • Per-client health (FPS), sync quality (in-sync / soft-drift / hard-drift / lost), and version-mismatch badges
    • Clients show a “Read Only — Client Mode” banner; convert-to-master on-site if needed

    We know that rock-solid reliability is non-negotiable, so this is a cornerstone of our design philosophy.

    With experience of calibrating some of the worlds biggest events over the last 20 years, we built in the functinality that we often heard people asking for.

    Key realibity features built into EXAPLAY 3 include

    • Auto-Heal persists playback state every 2 seconds
    • Watchdog Windows service restarts the engine after a crash and resumes from the last known state
    • Crash-safe project saves (protected against mid-save engine crashes)
    • Scheduler for daily open/close/restart events

    The evolution of EXAPLAY

    EXAPLAY 3 represents a major evolution for VIOSO playback technology. What started as a focused media player has grown into a complete media server platform with composition tools, distributed multi-PC operation, data-driven show control, and built-in resilience.

    The focus has shifted from simply “playing a file” to running immersive venues and permanent installations.

    • Auto-Heal + Watchdog: Resumes the show from the exact frame after a power blip or crash.
    • Multi-Client with frame-accurate sync: One master, many PCs, one click to push the show.
    • Composition & Playback: Frame blending, crossfades, blend modes, property keyframes and real-time GPU effects  .
    • Data Tracks: Draw a curve, send it to Art-Net, DMX, OSC, UDP, or TCP; your video timeline now controls the building.
    • Experience Designer integration: Preview your content inside the projection plan before the projectors are hung or the LED wall built.
    • VIOSO warp/blend integration: Geometry-accurate projection mapping built in.
    • User Panel Builder: Simplicity build in - your front-of-house staff actually use it.
